Seeking the Sound of Silence

My 2024 Lenten discipline.

I’m always a late starter in Lent, not deciding on a sacrifice or discipline until a week or so has passed.  Lent has to begin before I start pondering things Lenten.

So now that Lent is a week old, I’ve decided I’m going to give up reading/watching the news as well as opinion/commentary about the news—political, religious, social, economic, whatever. That means I should probably give up offering my own opinions or pointing to opinion pieces I happen to like.

Which means no Peripheral Vision for Lent!

So, I’m pausing payments for those of you who have paid subscriptions.
